KERRY KIRCHENBERG Owner/Trainer (2/1999)
Hello! I'm Kerry, passionate about K9 Comfort Paws. My love for dogs started early, growing up surrounded by various animals. I competed in rodeos during my childhood and high school years. After a break for college and a successful career in California Workers' Comp, I became a trainer with the California Highway Patrol. As a handler, I trained a German Shepherd as a Cadaver Search K9, working with the U.S. Government. I've been training Service and Working K9s for over 25 years. Currently, I have five Saint Bernards, Ireland, a 6 year old Medical Alert Service K9, Brekken, a 1 year old Search and Rescue K9, Tierney, a 9 month old Search and Rescue K9 in Training, Kalluhm, a 9 month old Compression Sensory K9, and Zayne, a 6 month old Cadaver Search K9 in training. Training is truly a passion, simply put, “everyone loves a good dog.” Let’s train!
Now let me talk about this amazing team of young adults that work at K9 Comfort Paws. They say all the time “even if you didn’t pay us, we would still show up.” They have proven time and again that they love being at K9 Comfort Paws. Spending time with your dogs, training them, bathing them, playing with them, boarding them, and loving them is their passion. Simply put, they are here because this is where they want to be. Their patience with your dogs, making your dogs comfortable, and keeping them safe are the main priorities. We are K9 Comfort Paws for a reason, your dogs comfort will ALWAYS be the most important reason for their visit and I can assure you that each and every team member makes sure that your dog is comfortable. From the time you book your appointment, the team is ready for your dogs arrival. This team has been with K9 Comfort Paws from the beginning and I am so so grateful.
MORGAN ASH Team Principal (6/2024)
“Hellooo my name is Morgan Ash and I work at K9 Comfort Paws. Really, I could go on and on about how much I love this job, I couldn’t be more blessed to be working here. I always love walking through the door knowing I will always love having this job. I have amazing coworkers that I wouldn’t trade for anyone. Everyone are so nice and understanding, when there is a problem no one “freaks out”, we just come together and figure out a solution. Ohhh and let me brag about my amazing boss that I don’t even see as a boss, she is like a best friend to me and I love spending time with her. She has an amazing heart and will do anything for anyone no matter what time or day. Working here has made an amazing difference in my life and the lives of others in a positive way. The dogs are always so amazing and the owners are always so kind and patient. Going into this job, I was so excited because the very first group meeting we had I just knew that this was the right place for me and it would be what I would love. I love animals, especially dogs. Working at K9 Comfort Paws has helped me with so much, time management, teamwork, socialization, and so much more. I would love to see you and your dog come to K9 Comfort Paws, looking forward to meeting you soon.”

“I love working at K9 Comfort Paws because I love to interact and meet all the dogs. Working here has been a great experience and I have learned so much about dogs, managing time, and how to manage money. It has all been very rewarding to me. I thank Kerry, especially for always being there for me when I need her, work life and in my personal life. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Our work family is the best and I am glad we all get along so well, it makes everything easier - working as a team has brought learning about different working personalities a less stressful work environment. K9 Comfort Paws has changed my life in a positive way and continues to do so. I cannot wait to meet you and your dogs, their comfort and safety is my main priority.”

“The reason I like to work with dogs is because I’ve been around dogs my whole life. Since I was a baby, they have always held a special place in my hears. As for what I love about K9 Comfort Paws, I love the people and dogs I get to meet and work with. I am so glad to work here and look forward to meeting you and your dogs.”
CASSI HAYES Assistant General Manager (5/2024)
“Heeey, I’m Cassi, the Assistant General Manager at K9 Comfort Paws, and let me just tell you a little bit about my time working for K9 Comfort Paws. Working here has been the most joyful, fulfilling, and the best learning experience anyone could ask for! Before working for K9 Comfort Paws, I wasn’t really good at communication with people. However, with time, I finally started getting the hang of it. Coming into work and getting to interact with dogs and other people is such a big help for me. Seeing new faces come into K9 Comfort Paws fills me with euphoria, the fact that anyone would put their trust into bringing us their most beloved animals is so hear-warming. I have three fur-babies of my own, Tank - Boston Terrier, Phoenix - French Bulldog, and Memphis, Pocket Bully. These dogs are my pride and joy and I wouldn’t trade anything for them. Moving on, I have to talk about my team! Every single person I work with is so unique. Everyone has their special place at K9 Comfort Paws and I could not be more grateful for each and every one of them. Kerry has been one of the most supportive and helpful people in my life. She is so patient when teaching us new things and she makes sure that we are very well taken care of. She has honestly been more of a friend than a boss to me and that says a lot. I just love everything about working for K9 Comfort Paws. Thank you for all the love and support for the kennel. We all appreciate it so much and cannot wait to see you and your dog!
